Who runs events in Milwaukee?

A handful of organizations do most of the work here, and their events repeat. So it's worth knowing who they are.

‍Mitobyte runs two monthly developer meetups: Code & Coffee on a Saturday morning and Code + Brews on a Wednesday evening. Open to anyone, whether you write code professionally or you're just dev-curious.

‍MKE Tech Hub Coalition puts on the FOR-M Founder Showcase and Founders Day meetups, usually where you'll meet Milwaukee's newest batch of tech founders.

‍Midwest Founders Community runs Founder Credit Club, a rapid-fire night of pitches and asks.

Milky Way Tech Hub runs events and organizes Wisconsin Tech Month every October, a statewidemonth of programming built in partnership with Latinos in Tech.

‍gener8tor runs gBETA showcase events whenever a cohort wraps up. Their accelerators are worth knowing about even if you never attend a showcase.

‍NVNG hosts +Venture North and +Venture Health, the bigger investor-facing gatherings.

Where should you start?

If you've never been to any of these, go to a Mitobyte meetup. They happen every month, they're free, and nobody's pitching you anything. Code + Brews on a Wednesday evening is the easiest first one.

‍If you're actively raising, Founder Credit Club and the gBETA showcases will put you in front of more of the right people than a general networking event will.
